Heritage Bus Service 11

Join us for our tour of some of the most beautiful Cotswold towns and all that they have to offer. Spend time in Moreton-in-Marsh amongst the 17th and 18th Century buildings of this picturesque market town. There are plenty of small shops, cafes and even an aviation museum to explore (open Sundays).

Stow-on-the-Wold is the highest of the Cotswold towns, once the site of an Iron Age fort. This historic wool town is known for its market square, traditional inns and eateries.

Just outside Bourton-on-the-Water, alight at the Melville Estate bus stop to visit Hawkstone Brewery. Whilst you are visiting, step into the Hawkstone Shop and stock up on your favourite Hawkstone beer and cider and explore the range of branded gifts. For the real Hawkstone enthusiasts, why not embark on a journey behind the scenes of this brewhouse. The tour lasts around one and a half hours and includes plenty of generous samples of the brewery’s finest lagers! In Bourton itself, you can visit the Cotswold Motoring Museum, which houses an impressive collection of 60+ cars, motorcycles and the largest display of enamel signs. Visit The Model Village and get an idea of what it would have felt like to be Gulliver in Lilliput as you explore the only Grade II listed model village in the country. Created from local Cotswold stone by highly skilled craftsmen, it is a replica of the buildings that existed in Bourton-on-the-Water in the 1930s. Don’t forget to call in at Cotswolds Distillery on the High Street to stock up on lovingly-crafted spirits from single malt whiskies to gins and liqueurs.

Stop off in the market town of Northleach to refuel at Fruitcakes for freshly-made sandwiches, baguettes, hot and cold pies and sweet treats.

At Burford, we are unable to turn our buses in the centre, so we drop off/pick up at the edge of town, which is a short walk away. A beautiful town awaits with plenty to see and explore.

At Asthall, we reach The Farmer’s Dog public house, which is owned by Jeremy Clarkson. Call in for a pint of Hawkstone beer or cider, or visit the farm shop.

After all that excitement, you may want to relax with a pot of tea and a scone. Huffkins have branches along our route in Moreton-in-Marsh, Stow-on-the-Wold and Burford, so do pop in, and enjoy!
